Welcome to the theme announcement for the October 2011 edition of J∙Festa. The submission lines are now open and everyone is invited to participate!

J∙Festa is a blogging festival showcasing the best of Japan. If you missed the September 2011 edition, don’t forget to check out the fifteen inspiring and thought-provoking submissions to “Events in Japan”.

Theme

“Entertainment in Japan”

In this edition of J∙Festa tell us about a recreational activity that provides enjoyment and amusement during leisure time in Japan. The possibilities are endless. It could be related to singing, dancing, cinema, theatre, sports, games, visual arts, theme parks, nightlife, comedy. The list could go on. The activity does not necessarily have to occur in Japan but it must be related to Japan.

Rules and Guidelines

Aside from contributing within the context of the theme, there are only three very simple rules to follow:

  • Submissions should be made in accordance with the J∙Festa Submission Guidelines.
  • The submitted article must contain at least one related picture.
  • The submitted article must contain a link back to this page.

  • Submit the article using the contact form.

Deadline

The deadline for submissions to this edition of J∙Festa is midnight Saturday 22nd October 2011 (Tokyo time).

    Here’s how I entertain myself in Tokyo — taking traditional Miyake Taiko class every week. I recommend it to anyone it’s a lot of fun and a good workout.

    I’ve been to a couple interesting entertainment events in Japan but didn’t get photos. However I remembered I have this video of the fun to watch Rockabilly guys at Yoyogi park performing. Hope it fits the theme.
